John was born in 1939 of Christian parents in the seaside/market town of Minehead in the County of Somerset, England. When he was called for National Service and not wishing to join the Army, John volunteered to serce in the Royal Air Force. He eventually served his country for 9 years as a RAF Police Dog Handler and Trainer. John was born again in 1963 which was the result of much prayer by his family.
